Built around the natural biomecanics of the wrist
The FloPole takes a unique approach by incorporating a neutral load-bearing strap, moving every ounce of force onto the pole's centerline instead of across your wrist.
The strap position makes all the differnce
A standard grip forces the wrist into an uncomfortable angle outboard of the pole's centerline, which applies skewed torque with every pole plant. The FloPole's neutral strap placement cradles the hand, keeping the wrist neutral and sending force directly down the centerline of the pole. This allows for more efficient transfer of forces, less fatigue, greater comfort, and happier wrists.
Three problems identified, then solved
Centerline force path
The strap sits directly over the pole's centerline, so downward force travels straight through the shaft instead of straining the wrist.
Neutral wrist angle
Because the hand doesn't need to hold the grip tightly, the wrist stays in its natural position during the entire pole plant and push-off.
Radical reduction in wrist strain
No more descents and stream crossings where it feels like your wrists take a beating.
It sure is fun solving problems that seem so obvious.
Engineering a pole that becomes part of your body instead of a stick with straps has been an interesting challenge. We are happy to introduce the FloPole, knowing that it will enhance many a hike. Stay tuned for other versions, including Nordic and Downhill.
Proven in all conditions
From scree fields to stream crossings, the FloPole's grip keeps the wrist neutral no matter what's underfoot.

Every FloPole is built from either aerospace-grade carbon fiber or aircraft aluminium, chosen for stiffness and weight, and paired with a durable grip designed to hold up to daily use season after season.
Every FloPole ships with a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the shaft, locking mechanism, and grip strap. Contact us and we'll make it right.
Each strap is adjustable through a range of hand sizes, so you can dial in a snug, neutral-wrist fit before you head out.
Orders ship within two business days and typically arrive within 5-7 business days across Canada and the US. You'll get a tracking link the moment your poles leave the workshop.
